That's right, you read correctly! The producers of an Off-Broadway play are giving away free tickets to their show if you can prove your virginity. Hmmmm...According to the organizers a hypnotist will "screen" people to ensure they are telling the truth.
The human lie detector, Sebastian Black, describes himself as a mind reader and a psychic hypnotist. "He's a master of body language and tone of voice," Davenport said.
So two observations about this scheme:
1) What will "they" think of next? (side note - who are "they" anyways? You? Me?
2) Will Americans do ANYTHING to win ANYTHING free?
3) Sorry guys - none of you in Chelsea or the Village will qualify.
And ARE there any virgins in NYC anyways? Me thinks not; and so do the producers of the play:
"There are a limited number of 'virgin tickets' available," he said. "However, there are not that many virgins in New York City."
